Client side, is all javascript, websockets and the html5 canvas. I used to use python with tornado, but I upgraded to C# for better performance. Server side I use C# with the Fleck library.

If you want to play on the same server as a friend, or you just really prefer one specific server, you can choose which server you want to join. Splix.io was inspired by single player games such as qix, xonix, pac-xon and whatever this is. If you surround a couple of blocks while there is another player inside, the land won't get filled with your blocks. But watch out, because anyone can steal back those blocks at any time. When you get back to your area, the blocks that you have surrounded will be yours. If you're in your own area, you're safe, but once you leave your area you'll leave a trail behind, once anyone (including yourself) hits that trail, you die. You can move your player around using the arrow keys or wasd. But watch out! Anyone can kill you when paused, even on your own is an online multplayer game where you have to conquer as much land as possible and become the biggest of them all.

Player count is now between 60 and 90 players per lobby. Changed the map size back to 600圆00 to lower the chance of spawning in someones land.Fixed two players being able to kill the same player at once.Fixed dying after having just killed another player.
